Singer Lenny Kravitz has been admitted to a hospital in Miami to be treated for severe bronchitis.
The 43-year-old musician has reportedly been suffering from a series of severe respiratory tract infections, as well as flu, since mid-January.
A spokesperson for the star said in a statement: "Due to extreme dehydration and fatigue, doctors were unable to control it with outpatient treatment and advised the singer to check into the hospital."
"He was taken this morning to the emergency room at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami for immediate treatment."
Kravitz's illness has forced him to postpone promotion events for his new album 'It Is Time for a Love Revolution'.

Popular US situation comedy 'Arrested Development' is to be made into a flick, according to the shows star Jason Bateman.
Bateman told US TV show E! News that plans ar underway for a picture adaptation of the cancelled show.
Rumours of a big-screen version of the rage present began to circulate last year after the doer was reported to have met with series creator Mitch Hurwitz.
Now Bateman, wHO currently stars in 'Juno', has confirmed the cast has received calls from executives asking if they would be interested in reviving their roles at one time the ongoing Hollywood writers strike is over.
He told E! News: "I tin can support that a round of sniffing has started. Any speak is targeting a post-strike state of affairs, of course.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Newsman) - Adam Beach is departing NBC's law-breaking dramatic play "Legal philosophy & Order: SVU" at the end of the time of year.
